about us

New Forest Homecare Ltd was established in 2004 by Deborah Fairhurst and Jennifer Jefferies, between them they had over 30 years experience working within the social care sector and wanted to create company that offered a personalised service from the heart. The company has progressed and the day to day running is managed by Hannah Kelly, Business Manager and Maria Cardenas, Care Manager.



We are a local agency that gives its all and we pride ourselves on delivering a bespoke humanised service that fits your individual needs.

Based in Hordle near Lymington, our home care services are available for clients across the south of the New Forest area.

Deborah Fairhurst
Company Director/Registered Manager

Deborah has worked in care since the age of 19 when she started her career with Hampshire County Council Social Services. She remained with them for 22 years, working her way up from a Home Help to a Team Leader. Deborah was passionate and ambitious about her work within the care sector so decided to set up New Forest Homecare Ltd, which she did with the help and support of Jennifer. Deborah has many care qualifications, the Registered Managers Award and the assessors award to name two.



Deborah is very proud of what New Forest Homecare Ltd has become and acheived, also what it gives to the local community.

‘I am very family orientated, I live with my husband in Hordle and have a grown up son and daughter who I often visit. I love children and enjoy looking after my great nephew and great niece. I love the sea, forest and travelling.’

Jennifer Jefferies
Company Director


Jennifer has worked in Care for approximately 30 years both in a Nursing Home environment and in the Domicilliary Care Sector. She met Deborah when they both worked for a Domicilliary Care Agency in 2004 and they decided they both had enough experience and love of care to offer and set up New Forest Homecare. Jennifer has many care qualifications including NVQs Levels 2,3 and 5 In Health & Social Care.



‘I work with a team of wonderful people who are dedicated to providing first class care. I have lived in the New Forest since 1980 which has been a truly lovely place to raise my family. I have a love of animals and I enjoy walking my two Labradors and Jack Russell in the New Forest most days.’

Hannah Kelly
Business/Registered Manager

Hannah has worked for the company since 2005, she holds a BA Music and Leadership and Management In Care Level 5 as well as a Train the Trainer Qualification in Moving and Handling and an in depth course in Safeguarding. Hannah became Registered Manager in 2013, now working part-time she job shares this role with Debbie. Hannah is responsible for the day to day running of the business and works closely with the company directors.

‘I live in the New Forest with my husband , two children and our puggle dog Winston. I enjoy fitness and strength training. I love taking walks in the forest, and spending time with my friends and family.’

Maria Cardenas
Care Manager


Maria is our Care Manager and has worked for the company since 2009, she holds a BSc(Hons) in Business Information Systems Management and NQV Level 3 in Health & Social Care. Maria is also a Train the Trainer in Moving and Handling and Medication Management and Qualified as First Aid Trainer.
Maria oversees all aspects of care and works closely with our clients and their loved ones to ensure that we provide personalised best outcomes for them.
Maria speaks 3 languages Spanish (mother tongue) and English and German.

‘I love travelling and have been to many countries, my favourite place has been the Galapagos Islands. Im always thinking of my next adventure’
